What happens when a clock-in is missed, a break isn't taken, or a manual correction is needed.
What this does
Explains the exception types Staffintra tracks against a day's attendance, and how a correction gets approved.
Who can do this
Any employee's attendance can generate an exception automatically; approving or rejecting a correction requires attendance management permission.
What happens next
Staffintra recognizes a specific set of attendance exceptions: a late clock-in, an early clock-out, a missed clock (forgot to clock in or out), a required break that wasn't taken, overtime worked, work performed outside the assigned shift, and manual adjustments made by an administrator. When one of these is detected, it's recorded against that day's record.
A correction request (for example, "I forgot to clock out") goes through a Pending > Approved/Rejected workflow — a manager or administrator with correction-approval permission reviews and decides.
Important notes
A manual adjustment made directly by an administrator is itself recorded as an exception, so there's always a record of who changed what.
