Marked late unexpectedly

You arrived on time but the system says Late — here's what to check.

A "late" flag that looks wrong is almost always timezone, schedule, or grace-period related.

1. Check the workspace timezone — Settings > General. If the workspace timezone differs from where you work, on-time arrivals can look late.

2. Check your schedule — compare your actual start time to the configured work start time.

3. Check the grace period — a short grace period flags arrivals sooner. Confirm the value with your admin.

4. Check your clock-in time itself — the record shows the exact time the system recorded.

5. If it's genuinely wrong, request an exception (see How attendance exceptions and corrections work) and your admin approves a correction.
